This stream was basically split into two parts: Battlefield 6 on the struggle bus, followed by me diving back into studying Star Citizen.
There were only two of us playing, with the game filling the squad with random teammates. Every now and then you get lucky and end up with some solid randoms… but last night definitely wasn’t one of those nights. Round after round felt like one struggle after another. We couldn’t find missions, decent weapons, custom gun drops, or even redeploy stations.
And then there were the bots.
Those fk’n RedSec bots, man. They absolutely wrecked us.
After we were done getting completely dismantled (RAPED) by Battlefield 6’s RedSec bots, I switched back over to Star Citizen. I opened the RSI Launcher and—WOW! The 4.9.0 update had finally gone live. Awesome… except it was another 50 GB download. So I got the privilege of sitting on stream for over an hour while it downloaded and installed. Riveting content, I know. (Shakes head.)
Eventually I got into the game, and that’s when the real adventure began.
The stream turned into a deep dive through Star Citizen’s settings. Flight behavior, keybinds, quick turret entry, and a bunch of options that honestly seem to be configured in a way that gives veteran players a huge advantage while leaving new players wondering why they’re crashing into everything.
And that’s only for the starter ships.
I haven’t even touched the salvage or mining settings yet, so there’s still plenty to learn. But I’m excited nonetheless. This update brings new missions and will probably shake up the money-making meta, which means it’s time to start grinding credits and rebuilding my fleet.
It kind of stings owning paint jobs for ships I don’t have anymore… but that’s just extra motivation to earn them back.

No bits or subs last night, but ArchangelWaffle, chopinator_432 and Travelingpig stuck around through the bots and the download bar. Sitting through 50 GB of progress with me is above and beyond.
More Star Citizen next stream, assuming there isn’t another 50 GB waiting for me.
