The holiday week is here, and while I personally don't get much excitement from it, I know it's a special time for my son and grandchild. This week is all about creating those core memories that will last a lifetime. From decorating the house to sharing meals together, it's these small moments that build the foundation of cherished memories.

Clouded by Sad News

This holiday, however, is darkened by some sad news in our extended family. A loved one has been diagnosed with stage four cancer, and it's a heavy weight on all our hearts. The diagnosis has brought a newfound interest in what the future might hold, especially for the young ones who have their whole lives ahead of them. It's a time of reflection and concern, but also of coming together to support one another.

Finding Resilience in Tough Times

In my experience, no matter how tough the times get, we find a way to survive and carry on. Life throws many challenges our way, but it's our resilience that helps us get through.
